Unfiled HABS measured field notes drawings

Description

Photocopy of eight pages of measured field notes drawings prepared by Barry K. Stover in 1984 for Historic American Buildings Survey (HABS). Drawings were prepared in order to update existing HABS information for Keim Cabin already on file at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. This information was never filed with HABS. It has been since determined by Philip Pendleton and other researchers that the “settler’s cabin” was actually a farmstead “ancillary” multi-purpose building, housing a wood-turner’s shop, cellar spring house, and an attic granary and storage facility [Pendleton, Philip E., Oley Valley Heritage, The Colonial Years: 1700-1775, 1994, pp. 90-92]. Reference Notes: Also see KCTX4--1002.01.082 for data sheets created by Barry Stover to accompany these field notes drawings.
