Black and white photographic print of a drawing pictured in the book "Berks County History" by Morton Montgomery, copyright 1886. Drawing shows southwest perspective view of the Mouns Jones House. Details include: northern gable-end chimney; SE corner chimney; stone tablet [exaggerated scale] with initials of Mouns and Ingeborg Jones and date [1716]; 19th-century recessed door in board-sheathed doorway; wooden-casement windows; "water-table" [above-grade projecting stonework along foundation of eaves wall, more correctly characterized as the "plinth" of a "spread foundation" designed to distribute the wall-and roof-loads, in compression, over a larger foundation area, thus reducing the unit force bearing on each square measure of area [sq inch/ft, etc.] of the foundation and sub-soil base; stone door-stoop.
