View through kitchen doorway during restoration

View to the east along root cellar partition wall from inside kitchen door sill after installation of south replacement door jamb on original stone sill. The cavity to the right of the jamb [just below the horizontal mid-line of the photo] will be relaid in plumb alignment with the jamb [see lower left corner of DTR09PH4--1001.01.124 for pe-restoration view of this displaced pier from the exterior]. The steel I-beams through the doorway and window opening to the north, both supported on 6-inch posts [one seen in the upper left corner of the photo], supporting the walls bearing on the pair of plates shown in DTR09PH56--1001.01.140, provided temporary shoring during restoration of the masonry piers in the east eaves wall.
