The Board minutes for 1966 confirm that the roof on Mouns Jones house had been replaced in that year and “the windows boarded.” Details include: parged masonry, replaced roof, and restored corner chimney on Mouns Jones House [left]; gable-end stove chimney, temporary board door and window shutter, and severely damaged roof of Bridge Keeper’s House [right], with a temporary, and deteriorated, covering [referred to in the Board minutes as “tar paper”] over roof rafters and lath; wooden barricade [left] across ramp to [removed] covered bridge abutment site. Note written in blue pen on verso reads, ”MOUNS JONE HOUSE TO LEFT BRIDGE HOUSE TO RIGHT DOUGLASSVILLE, Pa 1966”
