West elevation detail with damaged roof covered

Michael Fulp House

Images

Description

Black and white photographic print showing detail of west elevation before 1967 partial collapse. Tarpaulin ["pool cover"] is tacked down with lath strapping on damaged roof [see BKHPH46--1005.01.047]. The 1965 date on the second image is possibly correct. The note on image #2 of this record states in part that work would start the following Spring [1966]; however, the Board minutes of 3/29/66 state that "tar paper" would be installed until money becomes available for further work. The roof collapsed one year later. Details include: random rubble masonry eaves wall detail; water-repellent sheet cover on damaged roof; door frame. See additional image for notes written in pencil, blue pen, and stamped in black ink on verso. Note that black ink stamp on verso identifying this as the Mouns Jones House is incorrect.
